Wedding Photographer Limburg: Getting married in the hilly landscape with a wedding ceremony in the library of Wittem Abbey and a wedding celebration at Hoeve Vernelsberg
Last Saturday, I had the privilege of photographing yet another very special wedding—a rustic wedding in the Limburg hills with a touch of France.
This time, it was a wedding reportage in Limburg's Epen, at Hoeve Vernelsberg, a beautiful old farmhouse that gives you the feeling of being in France. The bridal couple both got ready here, allowing me to seamlessly combine the wedding reportage with photos of the preparations of both the bride and groom.
After the bride finished her bridal hairstyle and donned her stunning lace wedding gown, we headed to the Wittem Abbey, where the civil wedding ceremony took place in the abbey's library. This was where the prospective bride and groom would see each other for the first time in their wedding attire.
It was a unique wedding ceremony, partly due to the beautiful wedding venue and also because the bride's father officiated as the Registrar.
Following the wedding ceremony, it was time for some wedding portraits in the abbey garden. From the abbey, we all moved on to the beautiful wedding venue, Castle Wittem, where I captured more wedding photos in the garden before documenting the toasts and the cutting of the cake in a photojournalistic style.
After a pleasant reception, everyone returned to Hoeve in Epen, where the caterer had already fired up the barbecue, and a delightful wedding buffet awaited. The two master of ceremonies flawlessly handled every detail that day and ensured beautifully set tables for the wedding dinner.
After the groom cut the pig and the toasts were made, I slowly made my way home, bringing an end to this beautiful wedding reportage.
