Wedding Photos at Stadbroekermolen? I recently had the pleasure of photographing this outdoor wedding
It's been a while since I drove to Schinveld on a sunny Friday morning, one day after my birthday, with my colleague videographer Willem to photograph and film this wedding.
We entered a beautifully photogenic house with a stunning garden and a pool. I started by capturing the bride getting dressed. Her hair and makeup were already done, and her mother helped her get dressed. It was very warm, and the children's room at the front of the house, where she was changing, was quite sultry.
On the landing on the other side of the door stood a very nervous groom, who had accidentally already dressed and forgotten that I would be taking photos here. So I took some photos while his brother and mother helped him with the finishing touches of his wedding hairstyle.
Downstairs, the two children were playing with the iPad. I took some photos while the groom pinned the boutonnieres on the children. It was time for the first look. With a nervous groom at the bottom of the stairs and a bride who could hardly wait anymore. After a kiss and handing over the bridal bouquet, the driver of the wedding car rang the bell, and it was time to take some photos of the car, as it would be leaving immediately after dropping off the bridal couple at the Stadbroekermolen.
The arrival at the wedding venue was magnificent. Everyone was on the courtyard and clapped loudly as the groom and the children left the car. Everyone headed towards the English garden, where the outdoor wedding ceremony took place. When everyone was seated, the bride and her father walked through the back of the garden. Everyone stood up and clapped. The ceremony began. A wedding ceremony of laughter and tears. A candle was lit for a deceased father, and it was told how the couple met years ago during a summer vacation in Vias Plage.
Afterwards, there was champagne, and the delicious wedding cake was cut. There was live music for the bride and groom, and we took a romantic wedding reportage and group photos around the mill. Time flew by, and just before dinner, I had time to send a photo to a nearby photo store so they could process it into a thank you that would be given to the guests that evening.
After dinner, it was time for the evening party, which began with an opening dance and a father-daughter dance. Slowly, it was time for Willem and me to say goodbye. We left the party with dancing and laughing people.
