Wedding Photographer Elsloo: A small and intimate wedding at Elsloo

Castle I love last-minute requests! Sometimes it's just fun to receive a spontaneous email two weeks before the wedding day, checking if you have availability in your schedule - provided, of course, that you do have time, and in this case, I did. This lovely couple came to me through a fellow photographer with whom I collaborate frequently. She was unavailable on the particular Saturday, and the groom texted me asking if I could photograph their wedding. A day later, they were sitting on my couch for a very enjoyable meeting. We discussed their wedding day, and they looked through some of my sample albums.

Sometimes, a wedding day as a wedding photographer unfolds differently than planned A week later, I rang the doorbell at her parents' house. Everything unfolded a bit differently than planned, but I adapt quickly. I sensed she was quite nervous, and she was already wearing her wedding dress, even though I was supposed to capture the getting-ready moments

I observed and continued documenting what was happening in the living room at that moment. Soon, everyone headed to Elsloo Castle, just a 5-minute drive from her parents' house.

I positioned myself first at the castle to capture the arrival of the bridal couple I made sure to be the first one there and quickly walked to the entrance of the castle, where a group of family and friends awaited the bridal couple. Before long, the gray BMW arrived at high speed, creating a dust cloud on the gravel. His son eagerly ran towards the car. He let his bride step out, and together, we walked with the entire party up the steep stairs of the castle, heading to the Knight's Hall.

The Knight's Hall at Elsloo Castle: a very photogenic room with beautiful natural light The hall is small but atmospheric, with beautiful natural light. During the ceremony, the bride became more relaxed. Initially, there were a few tears, but then I saw her happily laughing. After cutting the wedding cake, we set out for a romantic wedding photoshoot. This time, I chose not a green setting but the old village center of Elsloo with its beautiful view and charming white houses with benches in front. Walking and cuddling, I captured this couple; it happened almost effortlessly without them posing.

To conclude, some photos from the wedding dinner at beautifully set tables After the photoshoot, everyone headed to the hall with beautifully set tables for the wedding dinner. Here, I captured some atmospheric shots of the bridal couple and the guests at the table, concluding my time as a wedding photographer.
