Wedding Photography and Wedding Photoshoot at Eijckholt Castle in Roosteren
During the lockdown as part of the COVID-19 measures, I booked this lovely wedding remotely through a video call. We discussed the day together, and during the conversation, I received the assignment to photograph this wedding.
The wedding photoshoot began at the bride's parental home, where she was getting her makeup done and her hair styled. It was a lively atmosphere at home, with the bride's mother providing everyone with sandwiches, and the foster children sitting in the living room. The rest of the family arrived, and there was much laughter.
After getting dressed, the bride descended the stairs, and her father saw her for the first time. Subsequently, the groom arrived in their classic Ford Mustang. From home, we set off for the continuation of the wedding reportage at Eijckholt Castle in Roosteren, where the wedding ceremony took place. After the ceremony, it was traditionally time for cake and a toast, followed by a circus for the children, which the adults also enjoyed.
In the meantime, we took group photos, and I also went on a romantic wedding photoshoot with the couple. Soon after, it was time for the wedding dinner accompanied by a delightful Italian band, and then my role as the wedding photographer was already complete. A wedding day always flies by, with so many beautiful moments of spontaneity and emotion that alternate, sometimes leaving you unaware of the time, and suddenly it's almost 7 o'clock in the evening.
