Photoshoot in Brunssum: Intimate Ceremony at Sint Clemens Church
Just before Christmas, I had the privilege of capturing this very small wedding at Sint Clemens Church in Brunssum. It was a cold but beautifully sunny day. The couple had booked me as their wedding photographer for the ceremony only via email, so I met them for the first time outside the church. Due to all the measures in place, only her parents (who were also the witnesses) and a handful of friends were present at the wedding ceremony. Oh, I forgot to mention that the dog was also there. It couldn't be separated from the bride throughout the entire ceremony, so adorable.
After the vows and the kiss, the unique wedding rings were exchanged, followed by a small toast. As a surprise, a friend from Amsterdam turned out to be present as well. After everyone congratulated the newlyweds, it was time to take a few more photos outside. First, I captured the moment when the couple lit a candle at the chapel, and then we had a mini bridal photoshoot on a frozen grass field in the beautiful backlight. I had only 10 minutes for this, but it was no problem because all the photos turned out beautifully. How these people radiated joy together!
Soon, the hour passed, and it was time to bid farewell to this happy couple. They have since seen their wedding photos and granted me permission to share this blog with some of their wedding photos on my website.
