The wedding photographer in Vaals: Fairytale wedding at Kasteel Bloemendal
As a wedding photographer from Limburg, I had the pleasure of photographing a very romantic, intimate wedding at Kasteel Bloemendal.
The bride's preparations
The couple had already spent the night in the tower room of this beautiful castle before their wedding day. When I arrived, the makeup artist and hairstylist were already there. The bride had planned everything so well that I had plenty of time to capture the beautiful accessories, the wedding dress, and all the special moments of the day.
The first look and ceremony
After a while, the bride's father and mother, with the wedding dress in tow, and her sister arrived. The room was filled with cheerful vibes. Before the bride put on her wedding dress with the help of her mother and sister, the groom was sent away to keep the moment a surprise.
Once everyone was ready, the bride and groom saw each other for the first time in their wedding attire at the foot of the stairs. Gradually, guests began to arrive, and the ceremony was about to begin. The bride had dreamed of an outdoor wedding, by the fountain, so her mother and sister went outside to decorate the chairs with balloons and chocolates. Unfortunately, clouds started to gather in the sky. Luckily, the hotel had umbrellas ready for the guests. Just as the bride was about to walk down the aisle with her father, the rain began. Guests quickly moved inside, where the ceremony continued.
A beautiful ceremony and toasts
Inside the castle was equally stunning. The officiant conducted a beautiful ceremony, and the bride's father and sister gave touching speeches. The bride was overwhelmed with emotion as she signed the marriage certificate.
After the ceremony, everyone toasted the newlyweds, and they were treated to a gorgeous wedding cake and delightful sweets. As the guests enjoyed themselves at the table, the sun came out again. Just as we were about to take the group photos in the garden, rain shower number two arrived. So, we all ran back inside!
Photoshoot and farewell
The photoshoot of the newlyweds took place partially indoors. When the weather cleared up, we were able to capture some stunning shots in the garden.
Around 5 pm, I said my goodbyes as the festive wedding dinner began.
