Bruidsfotografie Limburg: een winterhuwelijk bij hotel Merici in Sittard

Wedding photography Limburg: It was the first time in 6.5 years that I, as a wedding photographer in Limburg, went as a second shooter with a colleague from Rotterdam

Natalja's friend is the brother of the bride, and I was allowed to accompany as a second wedding photographer to create an additional wedding reportage from different angles.

It's interesting to see how a colleague works, and when you later look at the wedding reportage, you realize the added value of a second wedding photographer.

The main wedding photographer can be much more creative with the presence of a second photographer (the so-called "second shooter"), because I made sure that the necessary "standard" images such as the kiss during the wedding ceremony in the breakfast room of Hotel Merici and the exchange of wedding rings were captured.

My wedding reportage started at Hotel Merici, while my colleague had captured the bride's dressing and the groom's pick-up in the morning.

So I was able to capture the arrival of the wedding car nicely from the window, or so I thought. However, it was raining so hard that the couple decided to turn around and go inside through the parking garage. That meant running for me.

Afterwards, we photographers were able to capture the arrival of the bride with her father nicely from two perspectives. So now there is the desired photo of the bride with her father from behind, showing the beautiful train of the wedding dress. Normally, this would be something that would not be possible because as a wedding photographer at a wedding ceremony, I always stand at the front to capture the emotions when giving away the bride.

After the ceremony, there was the wedding cake and the toast, and then the four of us went to make the wedding reportage in the Mariapark. Since it was a very rainy day, we started indoors with the wedding reportage and then went to Sittard when it was dry.

After the wedding reportage, the entire party sat down at a beautifully set table for the wedding dinner. In the meantime, I edited some photos on the laptop to surprise the newlyweds with some wedding photos of the day.

After dinner, the whole party went to the Mariapark across the street, where the dance floor was opened during the first dance.

Together with my colleague, I photographed the evening of this wedding, and at around 11:00 PM, I said goodbye while the party was in full swing."
