Wedding Photographer Kerkrade: a wedding with rain and sunshine
at the beautiful Winselerhof In a bustling hotel room of the charming cottage of this beautiful wedding venue, the bride was getting ready. The bridal makeup and her hair were done, and I captured all of this along with a videographer. Grandma came in with 2 little daughters, who played games on the bed, the master of ceremonies came in and out, it was a cheerful bustle. In the midst of all this, I tried to capture some beautiful details and moments in the most beautiful light.
In between, I went to the groom's room, who was also dressing up in the same cottage, along with his parents, brothers, and one of the brother's girlfriends. Ties were being tied, mother helped with cufflinks, while at the front door, toenails were being painted, and the final touches were being made to the hairstyle with a straightener.
And back to the bride, where it was time for the dressing moment. With the help of her mother, she put on her wedding dress, and then the daughters were allowed to help with the bride's veil. Following this, both daughters, also bridesmaids, put on their dresses.
As it kept raining, we had to find an alternative location for the romantic wedding photos. Normally, this works fine in the garden and among the grapevines, but I opted for the large windows at the hotel reception. Here, after placing some vases and chairs, I could create some beautiful silhouettes. But before all this happened, there was an emotional first look in the banquet hall, and the couple exchanged vows in an intimate location in the wine cellar.
Soon it was time for the beautiful wedding ceremony. The couple wanted to have an outdoor wedding in the vineyard, but due to the rain, it was moved to the large indoor hall. However, it was no less beautiful. After the vows and a kiss, it was time to cut the wedding cake at the Pirandello restaurant. During the reception, we also took some group photos outside, and slowly the sky became a bit bluer. The sun made an appearance. So, we decided to take some wedding photos in the vineyard with the children. As a conclusion, with the help of the children and their bubble-blowing skills, I took some more photos of the couple by one of the beautiful blue gates.
This was truly a wedding day where I didn't have a moment without something to photograph. Time flew by. While the guests enjoyed an aperitif outside, I took some photos of the set tables inside and set up my laptop for the same-day edit. After having some food with our "team" of the videographer and the professional master of ceremonies, I continued photographing the dinner and some speeches. During the dessert buffet, guests could get a preview of the wedding reportage on a screen.
Soon it was time for a stunning first dance. DJ Matthijs ensured the right light and smoke for a beautiful framing of the whole event.
