Chateau Neercanne wedding photographer: Wedding Photos from an Outdoor Wedding in South Limburg in a Spontaneous and Journalistic Style
A wedding reportage on a Wednesday, featuring a lovely couple where the bride is German and the groom is Dutch. An international wedding indeed. On a beautiful Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM, I arrived at Chateau Neercanne to capture this wedding.
The wedding reportage began for me by documenting the reception of guests on the terrace. The groom was already nervously pacing around. When it was time for the civil wedding ceremony, which took place on the terrace of Chateau Neercanne, all the guests gathered there.
At a German wedding, it is customary for all guests to be present throughout the day, so there are no guests who only come for the ceremony, the celebration, or the reception. The group consisted of approximately 60 people who were guests throughout this wedding celebration.
The wedding ceremony started somewhat hilariously, as the wedding rings were still at the reception, but they were quickly brought. The bride traditionally entered with her father and was given away to the groom.
During the civil wedding, there was a live singer, and when it was time for the rings, they were brought by a little ring bearer, who then congratulated the groom with a massive hug.
After the ceremony, there was traditionally wedding cake and a champagne toast; subsequently, as a wedding photographer, I took group photos and captured some romantic wedding photos in the English gardens of the chateau.
During the wedding dinner, where I was also treated, I provided a same-day edit. This was presented on a projector during the evening celebration.
At 10:00 PM, my task as a wedding photographer was completed for that day.
