Wedding Photographer Maastricht: Romantic Wedding Coverage in Geleen Church, Kumulus Maastricht, and Rijckholt Coach House
Text: It was a scorching hot day where even the sparrows seemed to wilt under the sun. On this Friday, I drove to Geleen to meet bride Laurine, who was getting ready for some journalistic wedding photos.
Together with her mother and friend, Laurine donned her wedding gown at home. Poor Laurine, she had to constantly dab herself dry with a towel, and her friend also had a tough time, having to button up the beautiful wedding dress with a crochet hook.
Hot or not, Laurine looked radiant as the mint-green Cadillac wedding car picked her up at home to take her to the church, where groom Lars awaited her at the altar.
It was a beautiful wedding service with live music, and luckily, the church was pleasantly cool, an ideal spot for romantic wedding photos. After the church, we headed to the wedding venue Koetshuis in Rijckholt (Gronsveld) to cut the delicious wedding cake by the newlyweds. There was also a toast by the master of ceremonies, and then everyone enjoyed a cheerful drink.
With the bride and groom Lars and Laurine, I drove to Kumulus in Maastricht, where we captured spontaneous wedding shots in the dressing rooms, theater, and mirrored hall. A very beautiful and artistic setting for a wedding shoot, chosen by the couple themselves.
After the wedding shoot, I headed home to freshen up and edit some photos for the slideshow during the evening reception. At 9 p.m., I was back at Rijckholt Castle in Gronsveld, capturing the opening dance and taking some wedding photos at sunset. The evening glow provided a stunning backdrop for romantic photos, and behind the castle lies a beautiful pool, a wonderful spot for wedding pictures.
