Wedding photographer in Kanne, Belgium: A splendid wedding and a spontaneous wedding reportage in the Caves of Kanne
My first wedding coverage of 2018 began with a beautiful wedding reportage, commencing with the dressing of the bride and groom in Millen (Belgium), near Riemst. From there, we set out together with the parents and children to the Caves of Kanne.
In these unique and atmospheric marl caves, the civil ceremony took place, officiated by one of the Aldermen (municipal councilors) of the municipality of Kanne. The deeply in love couple was exceptionally photogenic, sharing lots of laughter and occasionally shedding tears of joy — something I, as a wedding photographer, always appreciate.
After the ceremony, there was a champagne toast, and subsequently, I, as the wedding photographer, captured some group photos with the family and witnesses.
Then, the guests made their way to their nearby hotel, and I accompanied the newlyweds to the Bridge at Vroenhoven. Anticipating a rainy day and the chilly weather, I sought out a photo location that provided partial shelter. Under the Bridge of Vroenhoven lies an amphitheater, which, due to its concrete forms and stairs, is particularly photogenic. The colors of the concrete complemented the silver-gray wedding dress and the groom's suit very nicely. Here, we took some spontaneous wedding photos and also captured some portraits of the newlywed couple.
Finally, we had a brief wedding photo session on the Bridge of Riemst before returning to the Caves of Kanne. Here, I began editing some wedding photos for presentation at the evening celebration.
Subsequently, I created a mood impression of the arrival of the evening guests; the cave began to quickly fill up, prompting a caterer to set up a particularly beautiful evening buffet. After everyone had taken their seats at the beautifully set tables in the banquet hall, the newlyweds entered the room to great applause and made their way to their table.
Following an extensive appetizer and main course, it was time for four splendid wedding cakes in the form of ice cream cakes, cut by the newlyweds. The wedding cakes were placed on the buffet, showcasing a variety of delicious desserts.
After the wedding cake, it was almost half past eleven in the evening, and the newlyweds opened the evening celebration with a romantic first dance, followed by dances with their parents and children. Soon after, all the other guests joined them on the dance floor.
At half past midnight, I concluded this beautiful wedding reportage in Belgium and bid farewell to return home.
