Wedding photographer in Heerlen and Schinveld: Wedding photos of an international wedding with the theme Alice in Wonderland, at the Schinvelderhoeve
The long-awaited day began cloudy as I arrived at the bridal couple's home to start my wedding coverage. My task was to capture photos of the bride getting ready, the groom, and their two flower children.
Capturing the Bridal Preparations
I began by photographing the bride's makeup and her unique 1950s-inspired hairstyle. In between, I visited the living room where the groom was getting dressed, along with their two sons.
Once the groom was ready, I returned upstairs to photograph the bride putting on her stunning lace wedding dress. The couple then separately made their way with their parents to the Schinvelderhoeve, where the wedding ceremony would take place, entirely in the whimsical style of "Alice in Wonderland."
A Whimsical Ceremony in Alice in Wonderland Style
Even the wedding official had carefully chosen her outfit, wearing a beautiful floral dress that perfectly matched the colors of the decorations. The ceremony lasted about an hour and was very personal. The officiant engaged all the guests in the speech, allowing everyone to speak individually. The bride's brother helped with the vows, and their son added a personal touch by placing a wax seal in the marriage booklet and bringing the wedding rings.
High Tea, Speeches, and Group Photos
After the ceremony, it was time for a high tea, complete with various speeches, a champagne toast, and group photos. The atmosphere was warm and filled with laughter, as friends and family celebrated the couple’s special day.
Romantic Photos in a Sunflower Field
To conclude the day, I took the newlyweds to a beautiful sunflower field for some romantic wedding portraits. The rest of the photos were taken under the gate of the Schinvelderhoeve to avoid the rain.
A Perfect Wedding Day
It was a super fun wedding day, filled with spontaneous moments and stunning details that perfectly captured the unique "Alice in Wonderland" theme.
