A wedding reportage in Lanaken, an international wedding this time, starting at home in Lanaken with wedding photos of the bride, Belgian Caroline, getting ready.
Caroline and groom Per marry at Fort Sint Pietersheim in Lanaken, where I took wedding photos of their civil wedding ceremony. The couple knows each other from softball, and that was evident in every aspect of the bridal styling. The ceremony was very enjoyable; in Belgium, a marriage is solemnized by the mayor.
In the morning, I was first at Caroline's parents' home in Lanaken, where I started the wedding reportage by photographing the dressing up. Then, I drove to Fort Sint Pietersheim to complete the rest of the wedding reportage, including group portraits, a fixed part of every wedding reportage.
In the beautiful green surroundings, we also captured the romantic wedding reportage, and afterward, we drove to Berg en Terblijt to Hotel Vue de Montagne for the wedding cake, lunch, and reception.
The evening concluded at the Caverne van Geulhem, where the entire party started the evening with a cozy game.
That was the moment when my task as the photographer for this wedding was finished for me.
