Wedding Photography in Amsterdam: A Chinese Wedding Reportage
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing a fun and spontaneous wedding reportage in Amsterdam. A Chinese couple, who had gotten married in China back in January, were now on their honeymoon, exploring several cities across Germany and the Netherlands. They found me through the Fearless Photographers website. On Saturday, they were in Amsterdam, and we arranged to meet at their hotel in Oud Zuid.
Exploring Amsterdam for Wedding Photos
From there, we set off on a nearly four-hour walk through the city, where I captured a wedding reportage for them—something they had not done during their wedding in China.
Romantic Wedding Photos in Vondelpark and Prinsengracht
Our first stop was Vondelpark, where we captured romantic wedding photos. From there, we wandered along the Prinsengracht, taking backlit shots with the iconic canal belt as a backdrop.
Iconic Amsterdam Locations for Unique Photos
After a quick break at a terrace, we continued our journey toward the Oude Kerk and Dam Square, where the living statues added a unique touch to the photos.
As we passed through Dam Square, we headed to Museumplein, where I made sure to include the famous "I Amsterdam" sign in their reportage. Finally, we took a few playful shots with the Miffy (Nijntje) sculptures on the square.
A Heartfelt Goodbye
After an unforgettable photo session, it was time to say goodbye to this incredibly charming couple. They gifted me with Chinese sweets and even invited me to visit them on vacation in China—a gesture I truly appreciated.
