Wedding Photographer Aachen: A "destination wedding" in Aachen, capturing the wedding of a Spanish couple in Germany
Last Saturday, I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful Spanish wedding in Aachen, Germany. Sabrina, the bride, is Spanish. I began by capturing the makeup and dressing moments of Sabrina at her parents' home in Aachen.
It was wonderful to be part of this scene. The small upper floor was filled with ladies, either changing outfits, putting on makeup, or having their hair done by the hairstylist. The hairstylist did an amazing job, beautifully styling the hair of all family members.
All bridesmaids wore peach-colored long dresses with lace and a flower corsage on their wrists. Once everyone was dressed, and calm returned, it was time for the bride to put on her beautiful Spanish lace wedding gown, with the assistance of her mother.
A long, sleek lace fishtail wedding dress that looked stunning on her. Once the dress was on, her mother placed a beautiful lace veil on her, which her mother had worn on her own wedding day.
When Sabrina was ready, I quickly headed to the church to capture some photos of the guests waiting for her. The weather was splendidly sunny, and everyone was outside the church when the groom arrived, accompanied by their adorable daughter.
Everyone entered the church, and Marco walked to the front to wait for his bride at the altar, escorted by her father.
It was a very surprising and informal wedding ceremony, with cute performances by an entire class of little children dressed as bride and groom, putting on a show for the couple. Additionally, there was beautiful live music with organ and a singer.
After the church ceremony, bubbles were blown, and congratulations were exchanged before heading to the beautiful Kupferhof Rosenthal in Stolberg, where a reception with sparkling wine took place. Outside, there was also a small Spanish buffet, and the groom personally scooped ice cream for everyone from the ice cream cart.
Following this, we took a group photo on the steps. Once inside, behind this beautiful wedding venue, there was a stunning large garden with tents set up for the dinner. In Germany, unlike in the Netherlands, it is customary for everyone attending the wedding to stay for the entire day and evening. Therefore, there was an extensive dinner buffet of tapas and BBQ, excellently catered by a professional.
After dinner, everyone relaxed in the beautiful garden, and the bride tossed her bouquet to her friends. Then, everyone was called back inside, and the groom, Marco, gave a beautiful speech for his wife, followed by the cutting of a super-sized wedding cake.
Around ten o'clock, I bid farewell to this lovely couple.
