This wedding reportage started traditionally at the bride's parents' home in Haelen. The bride was prepared here, her bridal hairstyle was taken care of, and in the meantime, I captured wedding photos of the groom getting dressed at their own house, where wedding guests had also gathered.

From there, we headed to the beautiful Aldengoor Castle in Haelen, just a stone's throw away from home. Here, in the lovely English garden, the wedding ceremony took place. After the civil marriage, there was traditionally a cake cutting and a toast in the castle courtyard. The newlyweds cut the naked wedding cake together and shared a bite of the wedding cake.
