Wedding Photographer Limburg: Spontaneous and Journalistic Wedding Reportage at Gaia Zoo in Kerkrade
On a beautiful Wednesday morning, I arrived at Bianca and Jules' place to capture their wedding day.
The bride, Bianca, had her makeup done by a friend who is a beautician, and the hairstylist was bustling around the house, busy with the hair of the bridesmaids. The groom, Jules, was not at home. Everyone was occupied with dressing their adorable daughters, who were donning lovely dresses with large bows. Unfortunately, the youngest bridesmaid didn't quite agree with this arrangement. Laughter filled the air during the dressing as she emphatically said NO and burst into tears, but in the end, everything turned out fine.
The bride descended the stairs in a traditional manner (albeit backwards, with a daughter on her arm and one holding her hand), and groom Jules handed her the bridal bouquet, admiring his three beautiful women.
It was time to head to Gaia Zoo in Kerkrade, where the wedding ceremony took place in the Cheetah Shelters. This beautiful wedding venue overlooks the outdoor enclosure of the cheetahs, who occasionally came to take a peek at the ceremony through the windows.
Rose petals were scattered, and after the vows and the traditional kiss, we moved to the next beautiful spot for cutting the wedding cake and making a toast. From this location, there was a magnificent view of the giraffe enclosure.
After enjoying a delicious piece of wedding cake, we went to the Hof van Gaia, where the newlyweds, along with the bride's family, had a wedding lunch. Following the lunch, there was a reception for family and friends on the terrace of the Hof.
At quarter past four, it was time for the wedding photoshoot, which took place, among other locations, at the edge of the giraffe enclosure, where the bridal couple had the opportunity to feed the giraffes with willow branches.
From there, we strolled together through the park, capturing some romantic wedding photos at various spots. We concluded at another beautiful location next to an animal enclosure, where a small group gathered for drinks, and the groom's sister gave a speech.
To cap off the day, there was a dinner buffet at the Hof van Gaia for all attendees.
