Wedding Photography at Daelenbroeck Castle: Wedding Photoshoot for Inspiration, also known as a Styled Shoot in the Urban Wedding Theme

For 4 years now, I've been organizing a styled shoot as a wedding photographer with a group of entrepreneurs from the wedding industry. The idea started the first time with a small group at Vaeshartelt Castle. This year, we wanted to organize another fun wedding photoshoot together, but since this is a very time-consuming task, it had to be extended beyond the wedding season.

Eventually, we found Ger from Daelenbroeck Castle willing to provide us with his location, and that's how we came up with a schedule that included photographing wedding themes: the outdoor wedding ceremony, the wedding cake and setup, a photoshoot with a little wedding car, and the wedding dinner.

Each of us searched in our network for interesting wedding vendors. After a while, we gathered a nice group of 20 entrepreneurs. Last Wednesday, on a radiant autumn day, the wedding photoshoot took place. As always, I looked for a nice and photogenic couple in my network. Through Crossfit Heerlen, I found Nadesch and her husband Manfred. They were excited to participate and took a whole day off to model as a bridal couple for the Urban styled shoot.

The day started for me at half past nine at Nadesch's place, and then we drove together to Aachen to try on wedding dresses. The ladies from All Around You had come up with 4 different styles. After trying everything on, I drove with Nadesch to Maastricht to Gents, a men's clothing store, where Manfred was trying on a wedding suit. I managed to convince the ladies that in addition to a tie, we also needed suspenders and a bowtie. In the end, we left with a very nice set, including a funny wooden bowtie.

After that, it was time for Nadesch to get her makeup and hair done at Visagie Marlou, and I went with the groom Manfred to a real barber in Maastricht. While he was getting shaved, I took a small photo reportage, and shortly after one, Manfred and I left for Daelenbroeck Castle with the wedding suit. Once there, Pascal from Eclair Gebak had set up a fantastic wedding cake and sweet table. In the dining room, Sylvia from Hip Tafelen, along with Janine from Cox Design and Roland from La Dilligence, was styling a beautiful wedding dinner table.

We started the wedding photoshoot with a real first look. Following that, the wedding cake was cut, and the bridal couple sat down for photographing the wedding dinner. From the wedding dinner, we moved towards a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the platform, framed by live music from Gabriella Massa and beautifully narrated by the wedding officiant Ingrid van den Homberg.

After the wedding ceremony, we took some photos outside with a cute old Beetle. Also, from that moment on, Ingrid's dog became a model, with a beautiful flower ribbon around its neck.

Around six o'clock, it was time for a real opening dance performed by DJ Eric from Erido. Again, there was singing by Gabriella Massa. After that, we took a funny photo with the participants, where Eric shot a confetti cannon. To conclude, we took some silly photos in Dave's photo booth.

After some evening photos outside, it was time to wrap up and clean up, after which we ended the day with a cozy glass of wine together.

The photos from this shoot will be featured in our magazine "Trouwwow," available to all participants in mid-November.
