Spontaneous and journalistic wedding photography in Limburg, this time in Landgraaf, Heerlen, and Castle Doenrade

On a wonderfully sunny and warm Friday afternoon, I arrive at Linda's home to capture the bride's preparations.

The bride's parents are there, as well as the makeup artist for applying bridal makeup and styling the bridal hair.

I prefer to start my wedding reports with photographing the preparations. This allows for a very spontaneous and journalistic approach.

From the bride, I head to groom Jeroen, who is putting on his wedding suit at his parents' house on Molenberg. It's familiar territory for me since I photographed Jeroen's brother's wedding a few years ago.

At Jeroen's home, it's much busier. Jeroen hasn't put on his wedding suit yet, and he's already breaking out in sweat. His father helps him with the tie, and the other guests receive a flower boutonniere in the colors of the wedding day: fuchsia pink and mint green.

Once groom Jeroen is ready, I go back to bride Linda in Landgraaf, where it's still wonderfully quiet. Her son watches as she gets beautified.

When her romantic bridal hairstyle is done, it's time to bring down the wedding dress. What seems like a beautiful simple lace wedding dress still makes her mother a little nervous. The whole back is covered with those beautiful small buttons that need to be closed with a crochet hook. Fortunately, the mother-in-law comes in and takes over for a moment.

Then the little man gets dressed, shedding a tear from the excitement. Jeroen stands at the door a little too early and gets to take another spin in his Beetle wedding car.

When he stands at the door for the second time, Linda is ready and comes down the stairs. Despite being already past due, the party sets off to Castle Doenrade, where a beautiful outdoor ceremony takes place under the trees.

There's no shortage of bridal styling, everything is decorated to perfection in the colors fuchsia and mint green. There's a wooden sign pointing in all directions, a Polaroid photo frame where guests are photographed, dream catchers with beautiful ribbons and the whole terrace is filled with glass jars with ribbons and flower bouquets.

After the ceremony, it's time for the champagne toast and a beautiful sweet table with a wedding cake in matching colors. Here, the super beautiful wedding cake is cut. We take some group photos before it's time for some romantic wedding photos of the newlyweds.

At half past five, I say goodbye, and the barbecue is lit - it's time for the wedding dinner.
