Wedding Photographer Limburg: Spontaneous journalistic wedding photography at home in Kerkrade, at Castle Terworm in Heerlen, with an evening celebration at Hotel Van der Valk Heerlen
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing the incredibly beautiful wedding of her sister at Castle Bloemendal in Vaals, and now it was Sanne's turn to get married.
The day began with the bride and her sister's makeup and dressing the flower girls at home. A fun detail is that Sanne and Sacha lived opposite each other. Sanne dressed at home, and Sacha dressed in his parental home, then they met in the middle of the street.
It was drizzling a bit, but Sanne didn't mind at all. The entire party headed to the Orangery of Castle Terworm in Heerlen, where the super lovely wedding ceremony took place. This was concluded with a surprise from some children in Sanne's class, and then the other children were outside with balloons and decorated arches.
After the traditional coin toss into the fountain, it was time for the toast, family portraits, and dinner.
We did the wedding photoshoot in between, while it was raining in the gardens of Terworm and the surroundings where the beautiful blossom trees were blooming. In the forest, we found a real frog, which was placed in the bridal bouquet. The frog, of course, wasn't interested and hopped away a few times, only to be draped again in the bouquet.
When everyone sat down at the table, I bid farewell to return in the evening to Hotel Van der Valk in Heerlen, where the evening celebration took place. First, the large wedding cake was cut, which started to wobble, and then a surprise performance was staged for the couple.
To conclude, I photographed the confetti cannon on the dance floor and the first dance.
