Wedding Photographer Limburg: Spontaneous Wedding Reportage in Klimmen and Hoensbroek Castle
On Saturday, I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Rene Kals and Nicole Derks. Contrary to all expectations, the weather was beautiful that day as well. Nicole and Rene live in Amstenrade, and Nicole had spent the night at her mother's, where she would get dressed.
Rene picked her up at her mother's, and then we took some photos with the flower children. I chose a beautiful field in Klimmen that I had discovered on the way. After that, we took more photos at Terworm Castle, as they had their civil wedding there the day before.
That day was also the Limburgs Mooiste cycling tour, and Nicole and Rene were continuously congratulated by the cyclists. We used the colorful scene of the cyclists for some wedding photos as well.
After the photo session, it was time for the wedding ceremony in Klimmen. The beautiful church was filled with family members, friends, and two school classes (Nicole and Rene are both primary school teachers). The service was musically enhanced by the choir, of which Rene is the chairman. Additionally, there was a soloist who sang Ave Maria.
After the service, Nicole and Rene first laid flower arrangements on the graves of Nicole's father and Rene's mother. Then we went to Hoensbroek Castle for delicious sandwiches and the wedding cake.
My task was done after that, and I looked back on another beautiful wedding day that I was privileged to be a part of.
