Wedding Report Roermond: Last week, I had the privilege of being a wedding photographer for two beautiful wedding reports
On Friday, I had an international wedding at the wedding venue Castle Daelenbroeck in Herkenbosch (North Limburg). I began by capturing the makeup and the bride getting dressed in her hotel room in the tower. Once she was ready, her future husband was waiting at the bottom of the stairs with the bridal bouquet. They embraced and walked together to the beautiful outdoor setup, where the civil ceremony took place beneath a tree.
They were greeted by a large group of Dutch, Japanese, French, and German guests. Fabienne had lived in Japan for five years, and many of her friends were present at her wedding. The entire wedding was styled with a Japanese theme in the color blue, from the flowers, bridal bouquet, boutonnieres, flowers in her bridal hairstyle, to the trimmings of her wedding dress, the wedding cake, and the ring pillow.
It was a particularly enjoyable ceremony with a personal touch. Fabienne's brother gave a delightful speech, presenting her husband Martijn with a manual titled "Fifty Shades of Fabienne." After the ceremony, there was a short lunch on the terrace, and then the large group departed by bus to the Rose Church in Asselt for the wedding mass.
During a beautiful wedding service, the religious ceremony was concluded, and after the service, we all returned to Castle Daelenbroeck, where everyone retreated to their hotel rooms while we took some romantic wedding photos with the old Citroen wedding car and a funny bicycle I found in the courtyard, which turned out to belong to the chef. We were allowed to borrow it for the wedding report, resulting in very spontaneous wedding photos.
After the wedding report, there was a reception on the rooftop terrace, featuring a gigantic and delicious wedding cake in Japanese style, a champagne toast, and subsequently, the entire party went to dinner. During the wedding dinner, where I was also treated deliciously, I edited some wedding photos from that day for a presentation on the projector. At the end of the wedding dinner, these were shown and received with much enthusiasm.
I always get a tremendous amount of energy when bridal couples and guests react so enthusiastically to my work, as that's ultimately what it's all about. After dinner, I hurried to the banquet hall where the live band was doing a sound check, and the bridal couple welcomed the evening guests. As a conclusion to the 12-hour report, I took photos of the very enjoyable first dance, and then I drove back to Brunssum singing.
